Brake Testing DEWESOFT’s flexible brake testing system is designed to meet a wide range of testing requirements, from standard brake tests to ABS brake performance evaluation. Thanks to its modular data acquisition architecture, the system not only supports conventional brake measurements but can also be configured for brake comfort assessment and for vehicles using regenerative braking systems. Because braking distance is a key safety parameter, the system is built with maximum focus on accuracy. DEWESOFT uses GPS/GLONASS or a 100 Hz inertial measurement system to ensure highly reliable speed and distance measurements, while providing validity checks and real-time result visualization. Integrated processing and reporting tools support in-depth post-test analysis.
Users can apply the built-in brake calculator or create custom algorithms using DewesoftX math and extension modules. Calculated parameters include initial braking speed, stopping time, braking deceleration, corrected stopping distance, MFDD coefficient according to international standards, and comfort-related acceleration evaluation. After each test, results are computed immediately to give the driver clear, instant feedback.
The system supports both ECE13H-compliant test configurations and advanced R&D setups, and is compatible with international standards such as ECE 13H, ECE R90, ECE R78, ISO 21994, FMVSS 135, and SAE J2909.
