Solution Bridge Health Monitoring

Bridge Health Monitoring Bridge structural health monitoring is a multi-parameter measurement task that combines static and dynamic data from many different sensor types. An effective SHM system requires synchronized, high-accuracy acquisition and long-term data processing to accurately reflect real structural behavior.

Vibration data from monitoring systems forms the foundation for advanced modal analysis methods. With Operational Modal Analysis (OMA), bridges are evaluated under natural excitations such as traffic and wind, extracting natural frequencies, mode shapes, and damping without forced excitation. Experimental Modal Analysis (EMA) validates structural models through active excitation using hammers or shakers. In addition, Operating Deflection Shapes (ODS) provide a visual view of a bridge’s real motion under operating conditions. This combination supports early detection of stiffness changes and hidden damage.
