Road Load Data DEWESOFT’s Road Load Data acquisition platform enables effective vehicle durability testing, both in real driving conditions and on simulation rigs. It measures key parameters such as mass, inertia, aerodynamic and rolling resistance, road characteristics, engine load, and vehicle speed to establish durability targets. The system is designed for stable data recording during harsh endurance runs, while using smart features to avoid retesting and significantly shorten overall test time.
The solution can scale to thousands of channels and supports synchronized logging of analog, digital, counter, CAN, CAN FD, XCP/CCP, FlexRay, GPS, video, and many other sources in a single platform. As a result, virtually any sensor type can be integrated into durability evaluation. The R8 product line provides compact size with high channel density, rugged housing, integrated SSD storage, and powerful onboard processing in one chassis. It can be powered from the vehicle battery or an internal Li-ion battery for higher reliability.
For durability test benches, R8rt and SIRIUS systems support EtherCAT and dual USB interfaces, enabling real-time streaming to third-party controllers while simultaneously logging high-speed data in DewesoftX. This parallel operation allows the device to function both inside the control loop and as a complete data logging system.
