Solution Sine Reduction Test

Sine Reduction Test From satellites and aerospace structures to engine-mounted automotive assemblies, sine reduction testing remains an essential method for design validation. Detecting resonances, evaluating response amplitudes, and verifying fatigue strength under forced vibration helps engineers establish safe operating limits during testing.

Sine reduction, or sine processing, excites the test specimen with a single frequency at a time. During swept sine, excitation frequency is continuously scanned across a defined range and rate, sequentially activating structural resonance modes. The COLA signal (Constant Output Level Amplitude) from the shaker controller provides the frequency reference for the entire analysis. Because COLA always matches the excitation frequency, the DAQ system can track amplitude, phase, and harmonic components in real time.

DEWE VIETNAM delivers sine reduction testing as an integrated vibration measurement solution, providing the Dewesoft analysis platform and taking responsibility for DAQ setup, acceleration/force sensors, and direct synchronization with the shaker’s COLA signal. By controlling both data acquisition and sensing, DEWE VIETNAM optimizes measurement range, sensitivity, and phase accuracy across the entire system. TEDS support also shortens setup time and reduces configuration errors in large multi-channel tests.
