Solution Sound Intensity

Sound Intensity This solution enables determination of sound intensity and sound power directly on-site, fully compliant with ISO 9614 methods, without requiring special environments such as reverberation rooms or anechoic chambers. This is a key technical advantage when measuring large equipment, industrial machinery, or systems that must remain installed and operating.

The system supports both main methods: ISO 9614-2 (scanning method) and ISO 9614-1 (discrete points). With the scanning method, an intensity probe is continuously swept over a surface surrounding the noise source, enabling fast data acquisition suitable for field measurements or quick evaluation of sound power for large equipment. In contrast, the discrete-point method divides the measurement surface into multiple areas and enables detailed zone-by-zone emission analysis, useful for tracing localized noise sources or evaluating contributions of individual components.

By measuring sound intensity—a vector quantity that includes both energy magnitude and direction—the solution provides stable sound power estimation with reduced dependence on environmental conditions, suitable for standards-based measurement and in-depth engineering diagnostics.
