Sound Level Measurement DEWE’s Class 1 sound level measurement system is designed to fully comply with IEC 61672, ensuring the highest accuracy for acoustic measurements. Class 1 represents the highest performance and best accuracy class, with tighter tolerances across the full frequency and amplitude range.
The system calculates all SPL quantities with frequency weighting (A, B, C, D, Z) and time weighting (Fast, Slow, Impulse) from a single microphone, while meeting requirements for stability, linearity, and low self-noise of a compliant measurement chain.
When combined with high-resolution DAQ hardware, the entire measurement chain—from sensor, signal acquisition to processing—meets Class 1 sound level meter requirements for environmental noise, industrial noise, and research applications.
